Thank you! My method is a little time consuming..I’m sure there are much faster/easier way to make it but I’m still learning!
They’re smooth foam styrofoam balls I got at Michaels (Make sure you have some kind of discount when you buy them otherwise they are WAY overpriced)
I coated them with a few layers of a woodfiller/water mixture I made, sanded, primed with spraypaint primer and painted by hand. The stinger is made from paperclay and also covered with the woodfiller/water mixture and sanded till smooth. It’s strung together with some galvanized wire and attached to a belt under the skirt.
First cosplay of the year finished! It was pouring rain and windy, my shoes didn’t fit and were literally duct taped to the bottom of my feet. I was sick and the convention was disappointing but despite all that these photos came out pretty darn alright! My boyfriend is getting really good at cosplay photography.
